Review of Features, Specifications and More:
The LG CineBeam HU915QE in black [available here] and white [available here] is a 4K ultra short throw projector built on a single-chip DLP technology and operates using LG's webOS 6.0 system. Its tri-channel light engine is composed of a red laser for red, a blue laser for blue, and another blue laser that stimulates a static phosphor to produce green, thereby eliminating the need for a colour wheel and potential rainbow artifacts. With the capability to project a 100" diagonal image from just 3.9" away from the wall, it boasts one of the most compact throw ratios among UST projectors showcased on this website.
The projector can display an image size ranging between 90 – 120″ diagonally. As per the owner’s manual's diagram and details, to achieve a 100″ diagonal image, position the projector 3.9″ from the wall, resting atop a stand that can accommodate its 13.7″ depth, leading to a total distance of at least 18″ from the wall. The base of the 100″ diagonal projection will be elevated 13.6″ from the platform the projector is placed on.
The projector boasts a brightness of up to 3700 ANSI lumens and a laser lifespan reaching 20,000 hours. It supports HDR10 and houses dual built-in speakers with a capacity of 20 watts each. For connectivity, it offers Ethernet, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, and an optical audio output. It comes with a Magic Remote, complete with batteries, and features a web browser, Google Assistant, and Alexa. Additionally, its Miracast function allows content projection from mobile devices directly onto your screen. The device measures 26.8″ in width, 5″ in height, and 13.7″ in depth.
