The innovation behind M&K Sound's Tripole® speaker configuration is one-of-a-kind. Unlike conventional surround loudspeakers, the S300T enhances the clarity and precision of rear channel events, be it fly-overs, voices, effects, or the ambient soundfield.
The S300T Tripole® comes with an in-built wall-mount bracket and incorporates the same front drivers and crossover design as its counterpart, the S300, ensuring acoustic harmony.
The design houses isolated side chambers, each equipped with two 4” drivers, delivering a surround coverage reminiscent of the extensive speaker array in movie theatres.
The primary aim of the surround speaker is to extend the ambient soundfield, maintaining consistency with the front left, right, and center speakers. Using tripoles on the side positions crafts a focal point for precise effects. The side-firing drivers emulate the surround speaker array commonly found in vast auditoriums. In a sub/sat system, focusing on voicing the speakers like the front channels provides a uniform tone and enriches the ambient soundfield and effects. The S300T employs the same drivers and tweeters from the MP300 for the front. Additionally, on the sides, there are two more 4-inch drivers. The cabinet mirrors the construction of the MP300 but integrates isolated chambers for each of the six drive units. Meticulous attention ensures the S300T resonates in harmony with the MP300. A small network on the side drive units guarantees the closest side driver to the front tweeter doesn't hamper the tweeter's dispersion.
